I thought Americanization of the world was a very powerful article. I think it is amazing how westernized the undeveloped world has become. You can go to Jakarta Indonesia or the Niger river delta and find kids wearing a New York Yankees hat. Even though these kids probably have no idea who the Yankees or Bulls are they still have these shirts. It shows how the western world has pushed their ways on people. However, one thing that I can say from what I have learned in my Political Science class is that NGO's have a large part in the reason many of these people acquire this type of clothing. They are often donated clothes that Organizations give out to help these poor people.
Mcdonaldization is the spread of brand names such as Mcdonalds have become known throughout the world and often in the developing world.
Pessimistic hyperglobalizers are people who believe we are moving toward a "culture rainbow" as the author calls it leading to a bad thing .Optimistic hyperglobalizations is promoting good things such as free markets and democracy.
